Denver may have only previously been associated with nuggets and The Last Dinosaur, but since becoming one of just two states so far that have legalized marijuana it’s becoming increasingly popular as a pot-friendly mecca. Now, Mile High City is about to get downright ballsy with it’s legislation: It is now legal to smoke weed in your front yard or balcony as long as you’re on private property.
Think of the guts you’d need if you were to try this in any other major city. Plenty of other cities like to think of themselves as liberal — but could you imagine walking to pick up the morning paper from the front porch, and waving to an amicable, smiling police officer as you take a hit from a carrot-sized joint? No. No you can’t. Because it is the kind of thing you might think up while high."

hispanic is a nixon era government term for all people who are descendants of Latin American and Caribbean countries for census usage. it again strips us of our extremely different cultures/heritages (a common theme for us) and replaces them with a number and a statistic.
